Autism Outreach provide a wide range of training programmes and courses for those who are (or might be) involved with children and adults on the autistic spectrum.

We work with parents, teachers and other education professionals, ancillary workers such as midday supervisors, health professionals, social workers and of course, people with an ASD.

The courses cover a wide range of subject focus and levels including an Introduction to Autism and Asperger Syndrome, Behaviours that Challenge, Autism in the workplace, Autism in the home, Autism in the Learning EnvironmentStrategies and Tools for teaching, Setting up support groups, Life Skills and Social Skills for those on the Autistic Spectrum, and, of course, customised events relevant to a particular group, organisation or learning environment. We offer a course and conference input on relationships and ASDs.

A personal perspective by a highly experienced autism professional with a diagnosis of Asperger Syndrome is proving extremely popular.

Creating an autism-friendly environment: Autism Outreach works with organisations and institutions to audit their workplace, learning environment, or similar, to establish precisely what will make it autism friendly. This is a process including an audit of policy, procedures and practice; the development and implementation of appropriate strategies, trialling and reflection followed by acknowledgement of the progress and success of the whole process. This usually takes from 4 - 7 working days depending on number of locations and number of people involved.

We supply courses and training to 'single' or 'mixed' audiences from a specific professional group such as social workers to parents, teachers and governors.
